In 2023, the board of VME (Västra Mälardalen Energy and Environment) decided to build a new wood chip-fired boiler plant at the heating plant in Arboga. Sigholm have been entrusted with appointing the project organisation and, as the main project manager, managing and following up from pre-project planning to final commissioning, which is expected to take place in Q4, 2024. The investment is being made to ensure both operational reliability and price stability for customers, while providing an increased capacity for renewable forest fuels in the district heating system.
